itβs unreal how these grown-ass men had no problem destroying untold lives with chatGPT but go crying to a judge when people make fun of them online

Someone over on LinkedIn said to me that building a Feed of over 1,000 artists who donβt use AI is βrare these daysβ.
π‘π¨
It really isnβt though β I think all of us artists know that.
We need spaces where our work isnβt drowned out by slop.
We can sustain and thrive in these spaces.
Itβs why the SciArt Feed π‘ isnβt open to everyone with the hashtag, but I have to approve them first.
One of the best features of Bluesky Feeds: if someone posted AI slop in the #SciArt Feed, I can
a) remove the individual post, or
b) remove them as a contributor and all of their posts disappear.

Let there be as much outrage from politicians in Washington when kids go hungry as there is when I break bread with New Yorkers.
When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.

"Cars are the most absurd means of transport in a city. They are parked 95 per cent of the time. It takes two tonnes to move someone who weighs 70 kilogrammes. And the denser the city, the more absurd it is."
I think about this a lot.

No book is going to turn kids into someone else. But books will regularly show kids other people like them and show those kids they're not alone. And they'll show kids other types of people who also exist. There is a large proportion of the population who are terrified of this.
For the people erecting these data centers, poisoning Black people is a fun bonus on the way to building their ai god.
I want us collectively, as a society of vibrant humans with agency and self worth to reject AI and put all of these sociopaths the fuck out of business.
