Like, "is AI conscious" is just not a question with real-world impact. Sure, it might be academically interesting to discuss, but all of the important questions that we need to answer are social/societal in nature. (And mostly the answer is "guillotines".)

Honestly even a lot of philosophers of CogSci don't see the forest for the trees when it comes to AI, which is imho mostly due to sociology/social sciences being an afterthought in CogSci
