Our dog would be right in line with them, lol.

Yes!!! There’s a talking cat named Mr. Fluffypants, but he insists on being called FP. Lots of fun touches that will make kids smile.
Yes, indeed!
🥰🥰🥰
if you enjoy middle grade, it would be a great read!
Thank you, but you should be congratulating Jenny Lundquist for writing it! I was just recommending it.
Here's my previous answer: it really depends on the 8yr old, their reading level, and their tolerance of some scariness. But it’s not horror scary. There are a lot of fun fantastical elements.
Yay!!! Enjoy!!
Sweet heart!!!
Agreed!!! 📚
Three cheers for critical thinking!
Now I get it. Thanks!
I've read Shadow of the Wind. I can see why you might say that, but the target audience for the book I'm recommending is 8-12 yrs old.
Fantastic!! I hope they enjoy it!📚
Yes, it's really welly done!
Love voracious readers! 8-12 is the publisher's recommended age. But so much depends on the child, their reading level, and their taste in stories. This definitely has plenty of plot twists, a villain who is sometimes sympathetic, misunderstandings, etc. that keep the reader guessing.
Thank you, Kelsey!!!🥰
That would make for a fun school visit!
Hope she enjoys it!
I think it hits the sweet spot of being just scary enough, and the fantastical elements will also delight kids.
My pleasure!
It’s a terrific cover, yes! And does a great job of pulling readers in.
Yes, it is! It kind of glows.

Gorgeous!
❤️
That's a HUGE endorsement!
Just finished The Library of Curiosities, a fantastic #middlegrade! Readers who like mysteries with high stakes, a low scare-factor, and a little magic thrown in may find themselves saying “just one more chapter” past lights out! #kidlit #librarians #teachers @jennylundquist.bsky.social
