🇷🇴 Romania creates the largest deposit-return recycling scheme in the world!
Their plastic bottle collection scheme has taken them from one of the lowest recycling rates in the EU to upto 94% collection in just two years, with more than 500,000 tonnes of high-quality recyclable materials collected.
Recycling e-waste not only reduces pollution but also helps recover essential raw materials needed for a clean energy future.
Better recycling and reuse could decrease the need for new mining by up to 10% by 2050.
