Just reballed a chip without a stencil or any solder balls.
Just hot air, flux, and touching the solder wire to the pads until they were the right size then pulling away.

Had a Jungle Green N64 in that wouldn't display anything. Checked the board, so problems. Problem was the expansion pak. Reflowed and measured the resistor arrays and one section was reading 234 ohms!

No worries. Just gotta solder in a resistor for each part of the array.

And it works!!!

Repaired a customer's failed GameCube PicoBoot install. Ripped a leg clean off the chip and destroyed a pad. Easy fix. Just grind away the IC package to expose the pin so you can solder to it. Run wire through that via and solder to the other side for extra security. Then UV mask it. Voila.
