We also successfully expressed and purified the human eIF2 complex, that together with previously described methods open the possibility for a fully recombinant set of human translation initiation factors!

Here we present a method for high yield expression and purification of active and stable human eIF3 (all its 12+1 subunits!), one of the most complex and unknown translation initiation factor.
