Non-ETH recruitment decisions at B04 have an excellent track record. Maza is another who has been good this season.

Just be thankful you don't have to watch him on US Champions League coverage where the only goal is to go viral with clown show moments
Oh I remember ๐

We will see
Amen, brother. Guessing how the team will thing should not be taken as an endorsement of such action!
Why do you think Slot will leave?
I could see Nyoni getting Endo's minutes, such as they are.
Jones' situation has become laughable
No way to know for sure, but Grav's extension suggests we aren't buying a midfielder unless one goes out
I take your point, but I'll be honest, I'm not very interested in talking about pre-season injuries in March.
It's not either-or. Macca's level of play has dropped and the tactics are poor.
Diomande radar for those who enjoy that sort of thing
Macca, Grav, Curtis and Dom are all best suited to play as 8s. It's the classic too-many allrounders problem. We have a T20 midfield trying to play test-match football.

Well, you know it's my position that there's blame enough to go around!
It would be hard for any manager to do well when Ali, Virgil, Macca, and Mo--your senior core--are all having down years
But it's equally true that better use of the squad and tactical consistency would help struggling players
I think there's some truth to that, but it's also totally warped. They don't play with a 10. You just can't graft a 10 onto their 433 midfield rotation. And we certainly don't have the frontline pace they have, so it's a hopeless obsession.
This is my chief critique
it's infuriating ... and also very sad
... which is even more of an argument in my mind that the best coaching approach in this situation is to simplify and play a basic system that you can use week in and week out.
We have no idea what Slot asked for tbf. And he clearly recognized the problem by switching Macca and Grav's roles.
We decided not to replace Trent in build-up.
We decided to re-orient the team around a 10, but shipped out our back-up 10.
We bought flying FBs, one of whom is always asked to play narrow.
Three immutable problems that have not yielded to an enormous amount of galaxy-brain effort.
Exactly. You have no chance of establishing attacking patterns or defensive solidity without consistency.
This is so obvious that anyone who says otherwise can only be arguing in bad faith ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Indeed.
Speaking of which, the more I've stewed in it, the more grumpy I am that we change the tactical setup almost every game. You wouldn't do that with U10s.
If each combination of players is so unique as to require a different setup, what are we even doing?
