The swamp? I tried to ask Pa with a wrinkled brow. I wasn't allowed out there. That was the witching place! That's what they always called it when they caught me coming in from my walks. Why had they brought me here?

You know what I love most about being a self-published author? That I can decide on a random Tuesday morning to announce I'm going to release a collection of completely new short horror stories in 4th quarter 2026 and no one can stop me!

A scraggly growth of weeds, half brown and dead, half green and alive with buds and purple flowers.

I like the weeds growing in our yard. There's something about them that just speaks to me.

I'm finally attempting to bring my terracotta garden back to life. Planted some zinnia, canna lilies from seeds off my existing plant, and sunflowers (really hoping for at least one of these to bloom; our vet gave us the packet when we picked up our dog, Abby's, ashes). Fingers crossed!
