Do bear in mind when you're thinking about the sensory environment that you need to consider more than just the five external senses.
This isn't a culture war. This is the only trans congresswoman, ever being bullied through the press and legislation, and having only 1 of hundreds of colleagues stand up for her. They can do more than 1 thing at a time. Defending her will not take so much effort that they can't do their jobs.
Sarah McBride is quite right in saying she's there to fight for other things than bathrooms, she shouldn't have to take this on.
All those other democrats who like to say they're an ally but do very little... NOW IS YOUR TIME TO STAND UP. Do it for her (and trans staffers), she shouldn't have to.
