If no one else, make art for your younger self. Make art of your ocs that your younger self would have dreamed to be able to draw. Make art that would make them keyboard smash an excited reply to. Make art for you.

Medibang Paint's basic desktop and mobile versions are free. The Steam version with gradient mapping, a bunch of extra brushes, and animation capability is $50. And since the last thing that held me to Photoshop was pixel art, Aseprite is $20.
