It has probably been years since I have been able to fully breathe through my nose. So I am reveling in the new sensation!

8 days post sinus surgery and I saw my surgeon for a follow up. I learned that my septum was in an S shape. Now it is straight. And she did the dreaded vacuuming out of my sinuses and it was every bit as bad as I anticipated. BUT now I can breathe freely through my nose. BLISS!

Wow!! Congratulations! This is a fantastic milestone!

I am currently in the midst of it too! It is a great one for recuperation.

So exciting! Just put a hold in at my library.

The bleeding has stopped. Yay! I no longer have to wear the nose wrapper thingie.

Now the battle is against dryness. Mouth breathing as my nostrils are still blocked.

Also I cannot smile due to the swelling in my face. Maybe tomorrow?

I have put it off for years, so I get your concern. Surgery was yesterday morning and my worst pain was in the afternoon waiting for my hubby to get the pain meds, hydrocodone. Now it is manageable. The bleeding comes and goes. However I cannot breathe through my nose which is super tender.

I am in the throes of recovery from surgery yesterday. I had a deviated septum corrected and my sinuses vacuumed out. I will feel a lot better soon. For now, I have good pain meds.

I had a crosswalk altercation over the weekend and the vehicle was a BMW.

I am having sinus surgery tomorrow morning. I have all of my post care supplies at the ready. I am not looking forward to the week ahead. However, after that I anticipate being able to breathe and smell in abundance (which is not the current situation).

I sometimes dig my head in the sand and forget that this is a red state and there is a lot of Republican money here. Not likely to forget anytime soon now.

I am trying to move hubby along and de-escalate when the car's passenger yells out with massive contempt in her voice - 'Liberals!'. At that I had to be pulled away.

So life in Sarasota Florida today, hubby and I are crossing an intersection and this car comes roaring up. Hubby who does not take shit from anyone, stepped right into the intersection waving his arms and shouting for the driver to stop. Her reply, 'fuck you!'

I have a phobia about them, especially the down ones, and always use the elevator by default. I have been on this one and agree that it is super scary.
