Is JLGL a little underrated?
Is JLGL a little underrated?
Amen to that
What a cover
Jesus 🤷♂️
Amen to all that
Possibly my favourite Marvel
comic cover and series
Tough watch atm. Several players definitely not properly fit. And the media narrative about us and whatnot is in overdrive in the UK feed. Poor old Mosquera is having one of those nights. We could get Timber in there but who at RB? Ricci at a push? I think we have a very nervy second half coming up
Tbh I only watched all eps towards end of last year myself. If you give it time and let the weirdness wash over you you will come to love the show, its premise and the performances of the cast. And the brilliant music! Enjoy
As much as we could have asked for but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Let’s find a way to beat Leverkusen first.
To Dare Is To Do
Great cover though!
Yes I was there. Emotional ❤️. Best music venue with Royal Albert Hall in London sound wise, and I will be back at both for the gigs in November this year 👍
All time classic album. And still genuinely unsettling to this day throughout. Got to love a bit of Miles from all of his various eras. Bit of a personal soft spot for the feat man’s jazz rock stuff myself, and this is of course the best example
Absolutely great player. God bless him for his contribution to our band’s history. RIP Randy
Beautiful
Great memories. An all time favourite Marvel series for me. And Jim S is, was and always be the Grand Comic Master Of The Space Opera. If only Marvel would greenlight a Starlin era style Warlock/Marvell movie. And wouldn’t an Apple+ version of Dreadstar be great?!
Thanks Bill for a lifetime of Batman entertainment
Enjoy. Jim A is an indisputable great and I have a feeling that his original work will pop even more than the (still marvellous) printed comics material
But I am a mid 60s through 70s fan😀
Best cover artist of all time for me. Equally adept at all comic genres - super heroes, horror, romance, western, although less so war. Closely followed by the equally legendary Joe Kubert (who was brilliant at war comics of course), then Gil Kane and Neal Adams
Wonderful. Shades of England 66: “You’ve Won It Once No Go Win It Again”. Scandalous refereeing and VAR decision but let’s forget that now. Hope AB is ok as she has been nothing short of sensational since she got the GK shirt. COYG
I think I have to agree that their very annoying second goal was indeed a bozo gene by product 🙁
I hear you Elliot but think I can hear the rust squeaking on Ricci from here! Let’s win the game with no dramas and go from there
The mid/late 60s DCs in general, and the 80 page Giants in particular, were my particular comic loves growing up in London. Think the Batman Secrets Of The Batcave issue is my personal favourite. Many happy hours scoring the spinner racks in old fashioned newsagents. Happy, simpler times
Great blog as ever Andrew. I must be honest and say that the ‘at least part blame the fans’ narrative every time we drop points is really starting to grate with me.
Beautiful cover from Gil Kane (I think)
Love it. Looks way older than 1961!
We didn’t spend 74m either!
Great cover and series. And perfect pulp hero ‘Brave & Bold’ issue
Forgot to also give an honourable mention to the Flash Spectscular issue in this list
