And this is the most important part.
Be kind, always.
I couldn't have said it better myself.
Holy crap. This was the one with the guy in the bathtub forever being filled with hot water, right? Totally tracks.
Fun times, eh? Sorry, buddy. Feels like this is just the world at present.
It was great to visit with friends and meet people.
All done!
My lips are sealed. π¦

Ooo designed for OSE! I didn't notice that before.
Gotta love getting messages from people pretending to like your work only to try and scam you for money. Guys, quick tip, I'm from the generation that believes in nothing.
@erynmccee.bsky.social Hey, I love your new profile picture!
I mean, look at this glorious bastard.
There was legit only one man in my mind who needed to see this... I RACED to post it to you.
If you haven't dropped your e-reader on your face while reading in bed, are you really reading?
@fizzy1.bsky.social CLUCKTHULHU?!
I loved those three books so much that I wrote my own personal epic, Sweet Rena. I know it will never see even a fraction of what he has seen, but Barker inspired me to embrace the pain and trauma and for that I am forever grateful.
Imajica is a thing of wondrous beauty.
Oh man. You are about to embark on a magical journey. The best Barkers are "Imajica" "Weaveworld" and "The Great and Secret Show".
Oh, to be able to read them again without knowing how they end.
Imajica and Weaveworld have stuck with me far longer than I ever expected them to.
Michelle is one of my favorite people, but I completely understand where she is coming from. If you want to laugh and help an indie cover some of costs to produce what I think is a damn funny story, please do...
It's never too late to have "The Worst Summer of My Life."

Thanks again, @marywyrd.bsky.social! It's always fun. Intrigued by living appliances and the cult of the number line? Not sure if you toaster is plotting to kill you? (it isn't). Wondering if your electric toothbrush is being nosy? (It is). Find out.

"You can't kill it!"
"Why not?"
*gestures wildly towards mass of dividing cells* "Because it's.. it's cancer?!"
"Right. So, we start with a chainsaw and then move on to the uranium." *slaps rod against palm*
"But...you know what? Fuck it. Give me one of those rods."
"Hell yeah."

As an actual hobbit, I often write girls and women easily overpowered by adversaries. In IN THE DOLLHOUSE WE ALL WAIT, however, Sam and Annie are roughly the same size, both quite small in the giant mansion setting. It's Annie's cruelty and resources that make her so formidable.

Sabine is seriously injured early on in #Heliruna and spends most of the book in a wheelchair, but if anything it teaches her to rely on her body less and her mind more. I've become disabled myself since my first book, so it was a very personal aspect to include in the novel. #HorrorWritersChat
My stories have a tight focus & characters are often trapped in some way. Thereβs never room my tales for every last detail, I know what they are, exactly how the characters move through the space, each room, the layout, furniture, the light, temperature, ambient sounds.

June Moore, my series character and the hero of my novel in progress, is physically small, racially ambiguous, and somewhat androgynousβattributes that both help and hinder her in her world, which is North Florida during the post-Civil War turpentine boom.

Morty (WENDIGOGO) lives in a tiny apartment in a carved-up older house. The winter wind blowing through the cracks & the outdoor sleeping porch provide great settings to explore the growing dread he feels as a curse takes hold of him.
