Graphic with navy and teal gradient background. Text reads: International Long Covid Awareness Day. March 15. Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal.

Along the left side are two stacked photos from last year’s events. The top photo is of a woman with long red-brown hair, and she is wearing an olive-coloured jacket and black shirt, as well as a black N95 mask and sunglasses. The bottom photo shows two women: the woman on the right is sitting in a wheelchair and is wearing a black parka and an N95 mask; the woman on the left is crochet beside the woman to her left and is wearing a blue ski jacket, a blue knit hat and a black N95 mask.

A banner along the bottom of the graphic reads: Join us as we raise awareness & support the Long Covid community. Beside this is a teal and grey Long Covid ribbon.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but colonizers/dictators/ abusers have a LONG history of weaponizing disease. And the less the rest of the population does to mitigate those same diseases, the more we enable it. Polio, measles, covid etc. they are weapons. Maybe wear a mask and stop helping them?
