CRAB HANDS PETE
Pete Kegsbreath spent $2 million on Alaskan king crab, and barred Pentagon photographers for making him look bad.
Here he is, making the signal for MORE CRAB!

Ugh. Limbo. Thatβs how you really make a book disappear
They banned my novel Proxy that was on the Lonestar (middle school) and Tayshas (high school) reading listβ¦since 2014! Suddenly itβs a problem? Crazy and insulting.

DoD has now banned press photographers from briefings on the war with Iran after Pete Hegsethβs staff deemed βunflatteringβ pictures that were published of the defense secretary from the March 2nd Pentagon briefing.
You might not agree with the ADL, but they've done a great job ending anti-semitism recently
Iβve sold over 3 million paperback kids books & I am scraping by. Pivoting to adult books because I have a family and this is insane. I look at my numbers and I look at the royalties and I feel like Iβm having a stroke. (Although those numbers wouldnβt exist without the low price point butβ¦)
This math is crazy making.
Feels straight out of VEEP, but way too dark for TV.
This is Andrew Davis, who Trump nominated to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
The judiciary committee already advanced his nomination to the Senate floor on a party-line vote.
Now he just awaits final confirmation by the full Senate, timing TBD.

If anyone affected by this wants to find out what their legal recourse may be, I know some good class action lawyers.
It was this or gay parents in Pixar movies, so I completely understand.
Screenshot of four different jobs from the NY Mag feature about what people make in NYC: "Home Health Aide $23,000 I've been a home health aide for ten years. My main patient last year was in Brooklyn. I spent most of my time taking care of her. I worked two days a week, and I was being paid for 13 hours of work each day - my agency, Loyal Home Care, budgets eight hours of sleep and three hours for mealtimes into our wages. But I was basically working 24 hours a day. She was active, and I was worried she would fall, so I would watch her all day and night. This is a pretty common experience for health aides. The agency can deny our overtime, but you can't deny a patient. When they say, "Oh, I need a drink of water; I need to use the bathroom," how could you possibly say "no" to them? Bronx Day-Care Worker $31,000 $16,600 from day-care profits $14,400 from trainings and consulting Last year, I lost a lot of kids. I live in the Bronx, and a bunch of families in my neighborhood lost their child-care vouchers. We're talking about people who make as much as I do; most of the moms I work with are home health aides. They can't afford full-time child care. If I have 16 kids, I can pay myself for 40 hours of work. But last year, I didn't, and obviously I'm still doing the same amount of work. I've been running the day care out of my home for more than seven years. It's a profession I entered out of necessity and have stayed in out of passion. I pay for everything - food, cleaning supplies, toys - and we have to meet the same requirements as a large company in terms of paying for liability insurance, which can feel pointless in this industry. I mean, if something happens to one of my children, I lose my license. End of story."
It's all so clear

Thanks. So many have it so much worse, but it still stinks every time.
In February this school district in Texas banned hundreds of books for teenagers.
The book of mine they decided to ban has been on the Texas Library Association's recommended reading list for high schools and for middle schools for over decade.
Here's a list: nbisd.org/library-mate...
I have confidence so far! Really loving it and already excited to read the sequel.
This is so grim.
When I worked on child soldier issues back in 2001-2007, recruitment strategies were things like showing off motorcycles, weapons, money, but most militias publicly denied using child soldiers. Now, the attention economy offers them status and adults exploit that.
Not my insight and paraphrasing but if you want to know how youβll be living in ten years, look how how business and government are treating the most marginalized today.
