About that MRFF thing: I don't doubt the problem of Christian Nationalism in the military, esp among the officers, but there is good reason to be skeptical about this particular event.

Ah. One silver lining: this is actually a schism: "College Republicans of America emerged in 2023 amid a schism with the College Republican National Committee ..."
Even so, though.
They really are. There is no way they would do this in light of all of the recent Young Republican scandals unless they were 100% committed to it.
Forget trying to shame them. They don't think it's wrong.
I would not bet against it. And also, who is to say when a single-issue obsession crosses the line into madness?
I feel bad about what she has become. She was my third-favorite on that show!
Like all @rayratto.bsky.social blogs, this is a very funny blog.
2/2 Then I got the hand me down Revere set. Never bought another nonstick.
I was a nonstick pan fan when I first lived on my own. Irritated me how easily they got scratched, and how it was difficult to do some of the things that a bare metal pan would do. Finally broke down and got a cast iron skillet and it turned out not to be as scary as some people make them sound. /1
That's the Wirecutter's runner-up choice.
Not to go all W on you but YOU FORGOT BESSENT.
;)
Great piece. Perfect intro for a history book which I hope we will be writing very soon.
^Reverse^Revere
Anyone besides me think there is not a chance in hell that Trump knows the word "forthwith"?
2/2 The All-Clad appealed to me partly b/c of how beefy the handle attachments are -- rivets. Big fat rivets. The Reverse just had four little spot-welds.
Piece of kitchenware like that will last a lifetime, if not longer. I only bought mine b/c the handle on the hand-me-down from my parents (RIP Revere cookware) finally let go, after about 65 years. The main part of the pan was still perfectly fine. /1
I had no idea about this place. Shame on Luke Kornet.
Great blog from @izdaramola.bsky.social.

Hurrah! A cooking blog from @albertburneko.bsky.social!
A few years ago, I had my eye on the All-Clad 12" and had the happiness of checking the page for a second or third time when it suddenly was on sale.
Very happy with it.
Note the runner-up: 1/3 the price, but no lid.

This is good, but I really hope you do the other one, too. (The confessional booth one.)
Weird. And spineless.
Today we are all denizens of Blooskee.
Thanks for sharing this info. Makes me want to support her, even though I do not have the happiness of living in Illinois.
Turns out she is on this site twice:
Personal/campaign account: @julianastratton.bsky.social
Lt. Gov official account: @ltgovstratton.illinois.gov
Interesting thought, and a nice counterweight to all of the hysteria about the mines. Thanks.
B-b-but every Republican I see on TV tells me this is the MOST TRANSPARENT ADMINISTRATION EVAR.

Wouldn't hurt. But my impression is that they are really deeply in the hole. Following from that, I'd wonder how they'd calculate the tradeoffs; e.g., give up [x]% of stuff on hand in return for keeping the Strait a mess for [y] months -- what are the values of max(x) and min(y)?
Heh. Certainly in the top two!
I have thought that the reason Trump was most pissed at Noem was b/c she violated omertΓ by telling Congress that he knew about that ad campaign grift.
Maybe not every, but many.
(I am not an expert, but my impression is that they don't exactly have a surplus of materiel.)
Meant to say, also, I had forgotten that Rubio was such an obvious pud back then. I mean, I always thought he was, but I didn't remember him being so obvious and on the record about it.
The thing I am more worried about is that even if we magically prevented that sort of nonsense from being part of the process, the thought of members of Congress trying to write laws about something this technical and this rapidly evolving ... gonna be something to see.
