I won't lie - I was pretty good at being terrible.
Many years ago I made a decent living being the "bad example" in industrial training films. Here I am in "Safety Is No Mystery," a film noir tale about on-site construction safety, showing the world how not to use a nail gun.
I'm really curious about this upcoming summer.
The world is very difficult right now, thereβs no getting around it. I will just offer that every time I see one of your Fangoria videos, it brightens my day. So thank you for mustering up a few camera-ready moments. Also, taking to oneβs bed is an underrated activity.
omg Iβve been sitting on a Children of the Corn sequel forever!
Thank you @jlalibs.com for pushing me to write abt something other than a horror movie for your zine This Is CinΓ©matographe. I go to bat for MAKING LOVE, seminal queer cinema, unfairly aligned over the years. Happy to be a small part of @vinsyn.bsky.social @cine-matographe.bsky.social
The Bride was fucking great!
Thanks to Daylight Savings time,
the clock in my car is now 1 hour and 7 minutes slow.
I was bummed not to make it - I was already spoken for - sadly to see Scream 7 which in the aftermath makes me REALLY bummed to have missed it. But Happy Birthday again!
I love Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3
I enjoy Scream 5, Scream 6
I do not enjoy Scream 4
I'm insulted by Scream 7
The benefit of my weed delivery side hustle gig is time in the car to catch up on my friends' podcasts!
As does your writing!
And to your point, the fact that I searched my brain for a second film, & had to go way back to Blink Twice (ZoΓ« Kravitz) and Candyman (Nia DaCosta again!) and could honestly not recall any others is dereliction of duty on my part. This thread and some internet research will be my new watch list :)
Truly!
How did your contribution manifest on the release?

You know how when you eat at a restaurant and the meal isnβt good because it wasnβt prepared well, and you talk to the manager and they give you free dessert to make up for it?
SCREAM 7 owes me free dessert.
Iβm seeing Scream 7 tonight, and The Bride tomorrow! Tell me how I should feel about them! (without spoilers, of course)
I hadnβt either, but it just popped into my head last night so I checked this morning. I donβt normally chase that stuff, but I had some writing that Iβm really proud of last year.
Well fuuuuuk. I missed the Rondo nominations by a day. I had an article I wanted to put up this year. Booooo.
But what if they ARE all talking about you
A good beard day.
The urge to seek sympathy in the void is strong todayβ¦

And the original is only 17 minutes long.
Can't believe no one has mentioned this in this thread:
HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT.
Genius. (And inspired several other Parking Lot docs...)
