Wow, very interesting, always been one of my favourite colour schemes of all time!

Well its been quite a year for me especially in expanding horizons and putting jokes to bed! Went on some fantastic adventures to many different places with many great people, here's to more in 2026!
This way up, when maps go wrong (and why it matters) by Jay Foreman and Mark Cooper-Jones aka Map Men
Just finished this excellent novel by @jayforeman.bsky.social and @markcooperjones.bsky.social as someone who isnβt a big time reader I must say I enjoyed it massively and if youβre someone who likes maps Iβm sure youβd like it too! (providing you havenβt read it already)
Congrats Simon!
I've seen leaked photos on Reddit, sad to see the Grey and silver go but honestly I don't mind it too much, shame about the lack of lighter blue tho
Well deserved, congrats my friend!
Itβs A-Level results day! Congrats to everyone who got into their top choices. A reminder too that my grades that I got last year match with this engineering firm
Am I the only person that gets oddly fascinated in looking at Manhole covers for telephone lines working out the eras they come from? (yes this is how niche my interests can be)
Well this was a cool thing to see at Derby earlier
A truly excellent exhibit to say the least
I got it a bit wrong, I think there was a plan to have it shut down by 2024 as part of the wider regeneration of earls court but it got criticised by locals and it ain't happened yet (if ever)
(I got that info from wikipedia which cited this document)

Shame west Ashfield wonβt be around much longer as I think I heard that both Ashfield house and lily bridge depot are shutting down which is a shame, nice old photos tho Geoff!
Welp Iβm 20 years old now, thatβs kinda cool
Chris Spargo, he's sort of the replacement for Tom Scott and he does some pretty awesome stuff about rather mudane topics!
Best 20th birthday present ever!
Also nice to bump into @simontrains.bsky.social and @mikewillsee.bsky.social along the way!
Went for a ride on the inaugural class 730/2 service, a truly excellent train to say the least, highly impressed

I canβt seem to escape England
Tottenham Court Road
Sad that I couldnβt enjoy any of the festivities today organised by @225group.org.uk due to saving up for future trips but happy #225Day everyone! Rode these fabulous trains with East Coast and VTEC as a child but my appreciation for them only really started recently and Iβve grown to love them.
Defo not behind the camera either
Bit of a selection of some of my favourite snaps of these glorious trains
Saw it in Leeds last month absolutely beautiful loco
Happy Ed Balls day!
