Attacks by ICE on our neighbors are having drastic negative impacts on our economy in LA. On top of #SanFernandoValley being hit the hardest in all of LA County, 44% of businesses report an over 50% loss in revenues as a result of the raids! This is detrimental for #SD20 families & local businesses.
A pillar of our vibrant equine community in #Burbank & #SanFernandoValley, Ahead With Horses bridges equine therapy with a transformative approach to physical, mental, emotional & social development for special needs & disadvantaged children. I am so proud to support their work with this check $12k!
Today, students across #Burbank and the #SanFernandoValley walked out not only in anger, but in conviction. I am incredibly proud of the middle & high school students in #SD20 who are standing up for their communities and refusing to stay silent in the face of harm, even though so many adults have.

Dr Oz targeted an #Armenian neighborhood in #VanNuys with baseless accusations and small businesses in that area told me they are feeling the hit. Don’t let those who spread hate win and divide us! Come back as patrons of these local small businesses which are owned by our fellow community members.
The SFV showed up yesterday in solidarity w/ the Nationwide Shutdown & sent a clear message that we do not accept actions from an administration that shields itself from accountability, deploys armed ICE agents to terrorize our communities.

Today I was proud to present a check of over $12K to Los Anarchists Junior Derby Team in #Burbank, raised through the CA Legislative Softball Game. This funding will help more young people roll into the sport by covering gear & equipment! Because everyone deserves a chance to play, skate, and shine✨
