After years of being professionally interested in the newest shit in town I am now feeling reliefed of that duty. I can pick my turn and stay in whatever stage of technology I prefer. Amiga 1200 for example.

But my final verdict? The 1992 #Amiga game was the best interpretation - across all media. It was the only medium that kept the balance between atmosphere, plot, mystery, and world-building - and made you become Paul Atreidis yourself. The best way to understand Muad’Dib is to become Muad’Dib.
I prefer Lynch’s chaotic take by far - if there has to be a movie. After finally reading the book, I realize what I disliked in his Dune was mostly faithful to the source (esp. the explicit contrast between thinking and saying, the abrupt ending). Would have loved to see #Jodorowsky’s vision, alas.
I always felt that the new #Dune movies were bad, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it - until I realized I forgot them the second the credits rolled. Now rewatching them I forget it as I watch. Really hard to see why these soulless abominations are hyped. Dying in beauty is all I can see.
