I can’t imagine a world in which I just get paid to write, like it’s my actual job, get up, crack on. Maybe I even have an assistant to help with admin and stuff. Incredible. I mean, I still wouldn’t actually DO any writing, but what a thought.

One thing that particularly winds me up in corporate-speak is people who say, “in terms of…” before saying anything at all. E.g:

“Where’s my fucking coffee, Rick…?”

“So, in terms of where’s your fucking coffee…”
