im so evil, every time i see a lindsay aerts post i read it as "lindsay alerts"
if cd-2 turns out to be an r+15 district (which we dont know for sure, the last report was before the redistricting happened), that would make it a 65-35 district (republicans get 15% more than 50%) making the average margin more like r+30
this is a misunderstanding of the cook pvi system. for 1, before 2018, republicans only won the district by 9 points. however, the pvi system cuts that in half to a r+4.5. this is because the pvi system compares the winner to 50%, not the loser (54.5-45.5=9, 54.5-50=4.5)
