I'm looking at getting a couple of themed cookbooks recently. Those are always fun to put a spin on some otherwise pretty standard recipes. There are a few really cool ones, like a fantasy TTRPG and One Piece book. I feel that it really helps to keep the magic, and creativity, alive in the kitchen.

I really need to look at a proper iFixit kit later. I've been eyeing their toolset for a few years, but have never pulled the trigger on one. Nothing too fancy, but it'd be nice to have a good screwdriver for my EDC bag. That and stuff for my soldering iron. I should make a smaller kit to carry.

There's just something about a quality made multitool that scratches the right itch for me. It's unfortunately a rarity though. Too many of them have such weird arrangements of available tools, or they are difficult to grasp comfortably. I have a few that I really like. I need a better screwdriver.

I've been looking forward to the new Slay the Spire game, and it doesn't disappoint. It feels enough like the original to pickup and play, but different enough to feel like a worthy successor to it. I highly recommend it, if you are fond of the first title. I'm having a fantastic time playing.

The time shift to Daylight Savings Time has me thrown into a bit of a loop. It feels so unnecessary to lose an hour of sleep for an outdated practice. I think I'll try make some homemade soup to help adjusting to the shift. Not sure if chicken vegetable or chicken noodle would be better to make.

The more I look into the world of 3D printing, the more excited I get about it. This is going to be a long journey for me, and I couldn't be happier. It feels like learning a new skill. Sure, I want to start out with trying premade stuff, but then start building things from scratch eventually.

I broke down and ordered myself a piece of upcycled hardware. It was an old Intel CPU. I'm not sure which one I'll get because I assume it's randomly selected, but that's okay because it's a keychain. Seeing old hardware repurposed, rather than tossed, always brings a huge goofy smile to my face.

Today started out really well. Shockingly so, and it has really put me in good spirits. I think that I may treat myself to some nice sushi this weekend as a reward for it. Either that, or something equally as tasty. I want to get myself the new Scott Pilgrim game. I hope it's as fun as the original.

I think that this weekend, I'm going to try to treat myself to some unagi sushi. It's a bit pricy, but if everything goes smoothly the rest of this week, I've earned it. Something about eel just makes it that much better for me. I might get fresh eel for a stir-fry from the market soon as well.

I've been revisiting some old games lately. A lot of point and click adventures. That might be one of my favourite genres. So many good memories and so many memories to make with newer titles. It is a style of game that I'm happy to see a resurgence in attention. Just so many amazing entries too.

I've been partially interested in making an Etsy or some kind of independent shop online. I have a few ideas on what I could make, but it's something that I have been mulling over. However, with everything going on with the internet, I'm holding off. The push for anti-privacy is very off-putting.

There is something truly beautiful about games like Hi-Fi Rush. Between the stellar soundtrack, the beautiful visuals, and the genuinely fun rhythm mechanic that sells me. I genuinely adore it very much. If you haven't played it, this is a huge recommendation. It's short, sweet and "upbeat". π

I've been reading a lot of cyberpunk fiction over the course of the last couple of years. I took a break from it to read a Robert Rankin novel (The Brightonomicon). He, and Terry Pratchett, are two of my favourite writers. I can confidently recommend any of their entire bodies of work to people.

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

It's one of those days where I wish that I could stay home. The dampness in the air goes through you. It probably calls for homemade soup this weekend. I should thumb through a cookbook to see what I can make. chicken noodle or chicken vegetable seem like the best options. I could go for a chai now.

One of these days, I'll need to thumb through a cookbook. Sure, the internet has countless culinary resources, but it isn't the same as the look, feel, and experience of something physical that you can read. I love themed ones too. Like for a particular franchise or one based on fictional foods.

I believe that I'm ready for winter to be over now. The amount of snow dumped recently is ridiculous. On a happier note, one of my favourite bands put their entire discography on @bandcamp.com. I might look into getting it later. It even includes a new album. Machinae Supremacy is so damn stellar.

There is this funny thing about Kamen Rider that always gets me. No matter how much the gear looks like the toys. No matter how much it veers into overreactions in the acting. I almost always seem to enjoy it. Maybe the levity helps me forget stresses for short bursts. It's such a great franchise.

It's really cold out today. I feel like I'm frozen through. Hopefully, it warms up a little as the day rolls on. I have to setup my 3D printer, but I keep getting lethargic about it. Probably due to trying to find a good place for it to go. At least until I have a good enclosure for the machine.

I completely forgot to order filament yesterday, and I really need to do that later. There is a need to get an enclosure for it too. That is less of a need, but still something to invest in soon. I have a fair number of projects to fabricate once I'm all setup, and ready to go, with the machine.

It just feels like one of those days. Hopefully something good happens, but the belief is low. Sorry about being such a downer, I'll try get back to talking about exciting things soon. For now, it just seems like I have few spoons to deal with things. I hope others are having a great one though.
