Morning *looks bleary-eyed*. It's going to be a long day (it started far too early ๐ฅฑ). Singing morning, afternoon and evening. Hope yesterday's croak has subsided. Have a good day everyone.

Shakespeare in the park suffering the swings and roundabouts of outrageous fortune
This is Summit. He is a friend to pretty much everyone he meets. But has a special soft spot for the little critters who stop long enough for him to say hello. 13/10 (IG: bakerbarnes)
Morning. The dawn chorus is just starting here. Mixed feelings about that tbh ๐

Me too. I still have the sheet music somewhere..
I distracted myself with a rom-com but an insomnia bar could work...
People always say: 'Get some sleep. Things will look better in the morning' but they're clearly not insomniacs, are they? *sigh*

Day 11 - A song with subtle meaning.
The Windmills of your mind - Noel Harrison

A long time ago, I remember mentioning Live Aid to a group of students and they all looked completely blank. I felt very old and yet was only about 30... ๐
Morning all. Lurching through another week *sigh*. Singing later, which will be quite therapeutic. Will try and squeeze in a cuppa with a friend afterwards - if we can find a teashop still open at 4pm!
And now I want to get one of those! I love bees.
Who else is looking forward to a garden full of herby flowers? These are Pot Marigolds, in front of Sweet Rocket with the magenta and green leaves of Tree Spinach right at the back ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ง

I take it she couldn't find any ducks...

Day 10 - A Song That Feels Like A Memory Replaying
Now this is right upy street. ๐
A colleague I worked with would park in the disabled bay. One day someone left a note on her windscreen saying 'I see you've taken my parking space, perhaps you'd like my disability?' Well said.
๐ I love birds (except when they try to nest above my patio doors and poop down my windows) and the spikes will be the rspb approved variety. It'll be positively high tech compared to the usual bin-bag-over the-wall-bracket approach that I usually adopt.
๐ฑ. Interesting rewatching it all with hindsight: the first time Carter goes up on the roof to help receive a helicopter patient he is advised to watch out for the tail rotor...
Patient: 'Piss off!'
Dr Lewis: 'That's ironic coming from a man with no kidneys'
I do love watching E.R.
Perfect!
Five businessmen - with varying degrees of hair loss - and a well-coiffured woman are sitting around a conference table (the woman being in that awkward 'afterthought' seat with no-one sitting opposite and having to crane her neck to participate in the conversation). Underneath, the caption reads: 'That's an excellent suggestion, Miss Triggs. Perhaps one of the men here would like to make it'. The cartoon is by Riana Duncan.
Your observation reminded me of a favourite cartoon from 'The Punch Cartoon Album: 150 years of classic cartoons'... (full details in the Alt text).
Unlike most men, at least he didn't try and claim it as his own...an oldie from @prospectmagazine.co.uk for #InternationalWomensDay #Freud #psychoanalysis #retail #cartoon
If only you could turn it off (so much for consumer choice).
'bird spikes' *thank you auto-incorrect"
I can hear the collared doves are back *writes a reminder to self to order some birds pikes*.
