Swimmer breaks record for ‘three lakes’ A two-time British Olympian and open water swimmer has set a new world record for swimming Loch Lomond, Windermere and Lake Bala. Hector Pardoe became the first person in history to achieve the feat back-to-back in a travel inclusive time between lakes of under 24 hours. He completed the three swims, totalling over 34.5 miles, in a combined swim time of 12 hours 15 minutes.
