I knew one day I’d have to watch powerful men burn the world down – I just didn’t expect them to be such losers
Can a headline alone be eligible for a Pulitzer?

Sure Farhan! :)
Of course Sara! I’ll add you to the list :)
Of course Gunaalan! Nice to see you here :)
Added you to the list Joana! 👍🏼☺️
hey everyone! i made a list of some useful starter packs (primarily biology/earth sciences with a few bonus things thrown in) to share with friends who have joined bsky in the last week and thought it may be useful for some people here too! 🌍🧪 #SciSky #BioSky docs.google.com/document/d/1...
Sure! :)
Sure Ceri! I’ve added you to the list ☺️
Sure Tuba :)
Sure Nina! Added you to the list :)
Done! 😁
Sure Eli! I’ll add you to the list :)

I made one here as well: bsky.app/profile/nann... :)
Done! And feel free to share the starter pack on your profiles to spread the word! :)
Sure! :)
Sure :) your project sounds interesting!
… and a huge shoutout to all the scientists from the Coalition on the ground in Busan, tirelessly delivering independent science to negotiators and advocating for an ambitious plastics treaty! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
INC-5 in Busan, South Korea, has ended without an agreement. Negotiations were ultimately suspended due to unbridgeable differences in ambition. With no treaty reached, discussions are now set to resume in 2025.

Done! 😊
I’ve put together a (micro)plastics starter pack. It’s not an exhaustive list—just those I’ve found on the platform so far. I’m excited to grow my Bluesky network with both new and familiar faces! If you know others in this field joining the platform, let’s bring them into the conversation! 💙

Nicotine pouches, a smokeless alternative to cigarettes, are increasingly littered in public spaces and nature. Our study for the Danish EPA reveal that these pouches are made from a material similar to cigarette filters, with millions discarded annually. Link in comments ⬇️
One of my biggest work motivations is interdisciplinary talks. It was great fun discussing with Anders for this article! We delve into 'nanoplastics' release from textiles, arguing the significance of understanding oligomer release as a size continuum for env & health impacts 🌍

Chúc mừng năm mới! Happy Lunar New Year! May the year of the dragon bring peace and prosperity…
Screenshot of webpage of Journal of Cleaner Production, showing the headline of a paper ‘in press’ entitled ‘Degradation of biodegradable plastics in waste management systems and the open environment: A critical review’
Curious about the state of knowledge on the degradation of 'biodegradable' plastic? Here is some reading material for the weekend! Enjoy... ;)
It took lots of time, efforts and also some frustrations but now it is finally here: the first publication in her PhD!👏🏼 Congrats, Sevil, on this milestone!
