A new Senate report alleges that over 1,000 FEMA contracts, grants, or disaster assistance awards were delayed under Kristi Noem's watch.
Why?
Because she demanded to sign off on expenses over $100,000 — which delayed aid to victims of floods and hurricanes.
"Efficiency."
Balint to Noem: "You're the secretary of DHS -- for now. And you think you're immune from accountability. But I promise you this: one day he is not gonna be president anymore. And when that day comes, we will still be here. And in hearings like this, we are going to continue to prove your guilt."

A defeat for the GOP and victory for Virginia voters

Don Paul: No blizzards here, but there is some snow in the forecast. PLUS a warmup in the extended range, and NCAR shutdown impacts. buffalonews.com/news/local/w...

Don Paul: Gradual warming returns and extends its stay buffalonews.com/news/local/w...

It appears this was a fake post.
Don Paul: Shadowed rodents aside, the cold won't leave early buffalonews.com/news/local/w...
Don Paul: In the midst of a warming climate, the cold’s persistence is amazing. Enough loose snow cover in place to cause problems on windy days, and no real melting in sight. Cold relaxes a BIT early next week, but digs back in by the 8th to 10th. buffalonews.com/news/local/w...
Don Paul: Major snowstorm with mitigating factors; frigid cold pattern holds buffalonews.com/news/local/w...
Don Paul: Will the Bills be gasping in thin air on Saturday? The Bills have been there, done that, and won that. Still, with little time for acclimatization to the thin air/lower oxygen content, the atmosphere may "gas" some tired players, especially in the 2nd half.
buffalonews.com/news/local/w...
Don Paul: Polar plunge on the way, with some periods of snow. As previously forecast for the last 2 weeks, the 2nd half of January will be colder than average, sometimes harsh, and accompanied by periods of snow. PLUS: Is it really getting windier around here? buffalonews.com/news/local/w...
Despite the monstrous acts of Trump, your paranoia is over the top and you have lost your grasp of reality.
How long will it be before the Minnesota AG convenes a grand jury to indict this ICE officer on either manslaughter or second-degree murder charges? Hopefully, the wait won’t be very long.
I mostly agree, but there were actually sitting indictments for the masquerade of legal action as a fake justification. There are absolutely NO gray areas in the case of the invasion and seizure of a NATO ally territory. That makes a significant legal difference. NOTHING to mitigate the illegality.
My opinion, obviously, is not sacrosanct. But as a former US Army infantry officer, this seems an absolutely clearcut case of total, UNMITIGATED illegality, which no officer could knowingly follow without serious risk of a general court martial and potential hard prison time under the UCMJ.
Would it? Not convinced.
