It’s key to find friends/like minded neighbors who will be first time voters or are part of the 40%+ that don’t normally vote in midterms and start getting them engaged. There will be many gerrymandered districts that can be won with slightly elevated turnout.

The country doesn’t like militarized responses to civil protests. The MAGA right and FNC crowd may salivate but most people want a calm statesman approach. Trump was not up to the job during Covid or bringing the country together after the Floyd tragedy. He doesn’t get points now for being a tyrant.

Regarding cancelling elections, I think his ineligibility for another term is the difference between 2020 and 2028. He didn’t think he’d lose to Biden. He knows the Constitution has been undefeated (so far).
