They ARE just kinda possessed by endlessly consuming greed. One that steals not just land, but even culture, even stories and their meanings, in order to make a cheap buck by using others’ culture to lend legitimacy to their unrelated story

I’ve heard it described similarly: a personification of greed, showing how it turns people into endlessly-consuming monsters… and ironically, by using its name (which it can always hear iirc) and applying it to a totally unrelated, butchered design…

And yea that includes euphemisms like 'wendy's' 'windy bois' or whatever just. Stop associating that word with a deer cryptid entirely, that comes from a white guy stealing shit for his horror novel and is nothing like what it actually is.
