GP through the window at the Brighton match.
Back over a week now but a couple of weeks ago walking up this hill shortly before dusk in 33 degree heat in Kyoto with my daughter. One of the most enjoyable experiences before she headed off to University ๐
So, the same referee found over a minute to add on to just 3 minutes but could only find that 3 minutes to add on to a full 45? Right you are.
What I thought but apparently not off. Tarks free to clear and should do better. Officials should do better then. Jones clears one in injury time with Branthwaite standing behind him. Jones very obviously clears it before it can reach Branthwaite. Flag went up and that's given. Same thing.
First pint
The skier bit of Blueskier today. Amazing conditions but a bit warm (21C) at the bottom.
Sunset walk
Beat me to that ๐
A few more from the ground tonight.
Magnificent views from the South Stand. Row 32, quite central, but went over to the top of the South East corner and it's stunning. Great views from wherever you sit in that upper stand.
I saw Konate was booked for putting hands on a player to successfully stop him breaking away and out of defence. When play stopped, Konate kicked the ball away but I've been his manager call it 'a soft yellow'. Not content with getting away with two, then, and looked a booking just for the kick away
Same view. Part of the entertainment, making the booking at Brighton ridiculous. I think it's OK to question the difference. Semenyo kicking a dead ball away and Kepa slowing the game down. No bookings. Pickford booked 5 times over Dec and Jan. Not saying book them, more just stop booking ours.
If I'm being kind, he was isolated at times. The RB position was a weakness today. Slow to react and move at times. The worst of it was how easily 3 players were all running out from the RB area with a cleared ball 2nd half and a simple ball back in the channel beat them all.
Impressive Park End from TB1 today. Cropped it, but I forgot you can see the Tin Mine up there. Back in the Enclosure Wednesday when we simply can't afford the errors from that first half.
Looking smart after a brush.
My picture from GP today.
Kicked out once at the payment stage with the session ended when I was well within the 15 minutes. The seats were still there and I couldn't press the buttons quick enough to get through at the second time of asking. Definitely stressful as I didn't want a bad luck story today to endure for years.
Very happy with one on the aisle and one just in. Row 3 in the Enclosure for years, and Row 5 of the Paddock before that, so a change to be higher up. Looks to be one of the amazing views in BMD.
Also back home in Liverpool today. Not quite the frozen North New York was. Walking 3 blocks from restaurant to apartment last Monday night was the coldest I've ever been.
Just about made it at the back - too busy putting my coat on to realise what was going on with the picture. Nice touches with the Toffee Brekky and with the music at the final whistle. As I thought, a must visit for Blues coming to the city.
Enjoyed a visit to Turnmill, NYC this evening. Back Saturday morning before heading home.
Nice one. One of my first gigs was Magnum at the Apollo almost 35 years ago. Remember it well.
Newcastle fans were given some of the Bullens and the Top Balcony, I recall. I was normally Gwladys Street but was in the Park End that day for some reason and, yeah, it was noisy and very tense. It gave us the semi final at Elland Road which, in November, was unimaginable.
It's absolutely abysmal. Half a season behind us and how many games do we have to see in which we don't look like scoring? The fella looks incapable of changing it so he can't be the man to take us forward from here.
I might have imagined it as I was half watching but there seemed to be a lot of excitement over the second goal and Cucurella having problems with his kit. Palmer knocks that second penalty in. Outrageous but the reaction came across as pretty low key in comparison.
Hear him perk up at 3-4?. Joyless commentary despite a very decent watch and after he was laughing at 2-0.
Get your coat on
