My main account's following tab has none of them on it and I mainly avoid the for you tab. My kink account's nothing but related kink stuff, anime and political stuff that's actually from people who don't like where this country's going instead of what you'd expect.

Obviously if things go belly-side up and there's literally nowhere else to migrate, I have my accounts set up here. But other than that, I only lurk around here and soapbox once in a blue moon.

I follow a lot of JP artists, seiyuu, photographers on birdsite. They don't migrate to other platforms like this. I curate my timeline so I avoid the BS. All my friends use discord. And until an actual good, no-strings-attached, catchless alt for birdsite or discord pop up, sorry, I'm staying there.

I think the thing that's most hilarious about this site is how people are like "You should leave this other platform because it's garbage/run by horrible people/this, that, etc." when there's literally no good alternatives.

And no, I don't think Bluesky is a good alternative either.

No better feeling than finding an artist that gets you and is always open to taking your commissions...
