Yikes… she isn’t a deadbeat, she pays him more than the court demands. A deadbeat is someone who won’t even contribute money for the care of a child. I wonder how exhausted he’d be if she WERE a deadbeat & not paying him a penny- like so many single parents deal with

It’s ok. Honestly we are better off not having him in our lives. Honestly he changed drastically in his late 20’s. I’ve begged him to seek therapy, we all did before giving up. I have a wonderful stepdad, a legitimately good man. I’m luckier than many. :)

My dad had 4 kids. My sister & I went no contact, as has his step daughter and son. Only he lied about having cancer, so my little brother relented. He won’t even acknowledge that he has made a mistake.

I had a roommate for a year. What i saved on rent went to my bike. If it gets stolen I don’t know what I’d do, but I know I’d get another. It’s worth it!

I try to say it any time I see posts about depression. tms breaks up the scar tissue that has built up from trauma etc. Stimulates new growth. I got it bcuz it has helped ppl with my disease. It did help, but it took out depression I didn't recognize. It was shocking

I have a horrid disease, constant pain with horrific days and weeks sprinkled in. I lived in dread of the future & thought I was happy, just realistic. I got TMS treatment last year. The dread & fear is gone. It wasn't my being realistic. Just another 'flavour' of depression.
