Think what you want about the IP today, but tbh I don't think I'd be pursuing an art career if it hadn't entered my life back then

Been a huge fan of the show since I was a kid (esp the DM series) and just happy to get to animate a badass-looking dragon (don't hesitate to call me for all your dragon-related projects👋)

Every moment is truly a learning opportunity, as I had to learn how to say in Japanese “pls guys dont choke on the tiny figure hidden inside 😥”

This is the season so I made a Galette des Rois to bring at work! I hope it’s as good as it looks bc I’m carrying French cuisine’s reputation on my shoulders rn haha

My main goals for 2026 would be:
- grow my reputation as an animator (aurafarm, if you will)
- continue learning Japanese so that my life here gets less awkward (hopefully)
- lose all the stress weight I put on last year (gambarimasu 💪)

Finally back in Japan after spending Christmas with my family back home

After a pretty bleak 2024, 2025 was a year of new beginnings and I hope I can continue building on that momentum in 2026, despite the whole world going sideways

Family members living all over my home country means I spend a significant amount of time travelling this season (including today with an 8hr train trip)

But I’ve got things to keep me occupied with my makeshift setup lol 🐉✍️

ikr?? I just finished it today, at first I didn't have any expectations but found myself hooked pretty quickly

A struggle I have to deal with is that my adhd makes me very attracted to novelty, so it's really hard to decline when I'm offered to work on new projects 🥺
Thankfully I know when to say no, but not without regrets haha

I did some 2nd key animation but mostly cleanup/inbetween, which was a fun change of pace for me

One thing I wanna say (and cannot show) is that the final animation stayed pretty close to what I laid out at the LO/rough animation stage (as in character movement & keys timing)

im more used to my cuts getting heavy corrections between the rough n the tiedown stage, so this was a nice surprise 😄

Unfortunately we didn't get permission to post LO/genga of the HAYASHI performance from #DanDaDan ep18 😞 So instead, here’s an excerpt of the finished scene with my role on top 🎸🔥✨
