If you're doomscrolling, guess what? So far there are 51 kākāpō chicks hatched and thriving this season, the same number of birds as we had in TOTAL in the 90s! Only one chick has died and there are still fertile eggs waiting to hatch!

Took both the dogs to the vet today for their annual check up and shots. Todd barked so much but when they took him back he was lovely. Posey was sweet too. Everyone is fine and won’t get a disease from the many raccoons in this town. Todd was very grumpy.

It means we have a responsibility for what happens on this plane of existence to care for each other and this planet. And it means life does have meaning even when everything seems meaningless.

I think we are sent here with limited abilities so that we can learn from each other and leave as better people/beings/souls than we were when we arrived.

I’m not really an atheist but I think my concept of God is different than others. I think of God as a collective of souls, spirits, and beings, living and non-living. I think that we are all God, or each a facet of God. But not that we have God-like powers in this world.

I wish there was more support for people at my age learning new skills like this. I always wanted a guitar but was mostly too poor to play. And I did have a keyboard briefly but it wasn’t a synthesizer so not quite what I wanted.

Only eight lessons to start though, I just want to know enough to play around with it. I’m mostly going to use it for songwriting. I’m still playing my guitars too though, and taking singing lessons. I’m still not sure where it’s going I am just loading myself up with skills.

Got a synthesizer! I’ve been wanting one for a long time and I got it on Marketplace and met some guy in a parking lot in North York. Lol he threw in a bag for some extra cash. So now I’m plinking and plonking and trying to make nice sounds. I am starting lessons next month.

Lol I really got angry at a clickbait video for not telling me how to solve my cat’s spraying problem, even tho I don’t have a cat. “Tell me how to fix this problem I don’t have! UGH!"

Today I boiled some eggs and when I was peeling one I ended up peeling off all the whites and just ended up with a yolk.

They really just sit around and trying to figure out the most evil thing possible, don't they.

The hotdog lady was around after work, a relief. Now I’m waiting for my singing class and then going home to make spaghetti. Monday is a long teaching day, two classes plus singing class!

I also still have a lot of DVDs and Blurays that I want to dig out. The only problem is moving stuff around so that I have room for them because they’ve been in my closet this whole time. I do not want to have to depend on streamers!

I’m really excited to bring physical media into my life again. I’ve been discovering the silence every time the internet goes down, and it’s frustrating! I can at least put batteries in this if the power goes down AND still play music and hear the radio.

I recently got a cd/cassette/radio player for the dogs, because Rogers turns the cable off after three hours and then they heckle my neighbours so I’m leaving the radio on for them. BUT ALSO I hoarded all my cd’s from my entire life and dug them out and a lot are still useable!
