There are only 2 other local teams in our age bracket, it’s for state games so just meant to be fun. But I live an hour away from the Wake Forest rink and all of our games are there.

Me: a local tournament, just for fun, cool. No stress.

Tournament organizers: how about the worst schedule possible at the one “local” rink the farthest from your house?

Life update. He has skates on.

But he’s completed his goal of being taller than me even without the skates. I am unsettled.

Was hopeful, then extremely annoyed.
