Translation: "I would like a job please"
Can someone ask Farage or Zia Yusuf why, if they're so concerned about incitement to violence, they had Lucy Connolly as a guest star at their conference?
I confess. It’s still September and I put the heating on. But I set the thermostat WAY down, and as I did I sensed a rustle behind me, and turned to glimpse the ghosts of countless dads, nodding tersely in grudging approval before they drifted back into their sheds.
"on a technicality"
Not really.
A failure to get necessary consents to a terror charge is not a slight error. They are safeguards when a person faces a serious charge.
Prosecutors should take such safeguards seriously: this is terrorism law they are using.

Escalators are antifa.
Richard Tice, "We've already got 80 sharia courts in the UK"
Billy Bragg, "There are also Jewish courts as well, thats part of their religion. We as a tolerant nation accept that"
"To demonise, particularly the Muslims, is the sort of thing we worry about Reform UK"
@mrjamesob.bsky.social there is of course a case for voluntary treatment and anti libidinal medication is used with great success in some cases
@mrjamesob.bsky.social I appear before the Parole Board most days , including those convicted of child sex offences. Like any offence there is a spectrum with those at one end being repeat offenders who will stop at nothing to those at the other end who are often incredibly vulnerable/desperate

For two men who have professed such hostility towards taking the knee, they are surprisingly happy to do it for Putin, in the Oval Office, in full view of the world’s media.
Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels haven't aged well. For example, Moonraker - published almost exactly 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!
Who’s doing the post Hull pod?
Ukraine represents truth. Russia represents lies. Every time we speak the truth, we support the war effort. Every time we reject lies, we help defeat the enemy.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame.
The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight.
It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.
Never underestimate the vengeful nihilism at the heart of this movement. The glitter-eyed fanatics behind Project 2025 and other such programmes will smash whatever is most precious to you, partly at the behest of commercial interests – but also to enjoy watching the pain it inflicts. They will crush beauty, joy, community and hope precisely because other people value them.
Here's one of the warnings I gave in an article before the US election. It's devastating to see it all happening.

The Telegraph has become nothing more than a national embarrassment
I hear Nigel Farage is declining interview requests. First time for everything, I suppose. I suspect he’ll eventually speak to whoever is least likely to challenge him properly.

On leaving a prison a few days ago I remarked that there was a lot of building going on. I was told that they were building an ‘end of life’ unit. There are other such units being built elsewhere. We were right to feel as though the Govt narrative was false I feel
The Government had argued that those serving whole life orders still have the ‘right to hope’ in that they can apply for compassionate release. This felt disingenuous at the time and we felt that the court had been sold a pup.
As a very busy year at work draws to a close I am reflecting on things as always. A few years back I went to the ECHR for Hutchinson v UK where we argued that whole life sentences breach article 3. The Court held that such sentences did not contravene the Convention.
For years Nigel Farage has banged on about billionaire George Soros influencing the political climate in Britain and the rest of the world.
Now - Farage's Reform is poised to take a rumoured £100 million from Elon Musk and the right wing media doesn't bat an eyelid.
How it started vs How it's going
Hats off to this man in the red sweater...
Correctly drawing stark parrarels between the rhetoric of 1930s Germany, and the rhetoric being used by the far right again today
We are allowing hate and extremism to fester in society again....

Plan to boost prison capacity could 'cost £4bn extra' and be short thousands of cell spaces.
Our Chief Executive, Andrea Coomber, told @skynewsrss.bsky.social that the "scathing" NAO report confirms "we cannot build our way out of the prison capacity crisis".

Any idea who will replace her as Minister for Courts and legal services? It will be significant for those of us working in the legal aid sector given assurances she had already given
Hopefully this is our slump/bad patch. Lads worked hard last night against a very good side. Just need to take our chances #safc
