AM96 has 25 kV~ (at least 50 of them). And these are the trains that ride Antwerpen-Ghent-Kortrijk-Lille. AM30 will have no real problems there with its batteries.
Why would they do that? With little effort they can run dual Celestias Brussel-Paris. On this short section the ticket prices are now often higher than on the longer distance Paris - the Netherlands.
Keep in mind that SNCF for itself has only ordered 15 international Avelia Horizon, and SNCF announced to use 15 to compete on the Italian market. So there are no future TGV Inoui train sets available for Brussels (the existing have no ETCS, obligatory in Belgium from the end of 2027)
Option 5: Replace PBAs and 373s with Avelia Horizons, keep PBKA alive longer, as it has a Ruby renovation, and improve frequency and add new routes. e.g. Amsterdam -Brussels - CDG - Marseille/Montpellier/Rennes/Nantes/Bordeaux could be run under the Eurostar umbrella instead of SNCF TGV InOui.
