Just filled in this survey by the council on how to improve car parking in Keswick, Cumbria. I suggested not to improve car parking but to improved public transport and active travel infrastructure instead. Will probably fall on deaf ears, but one has to try…

We got an air source heat pump a couple of years ago and love it! It was on a Warm Home Grant. Not sure what grants are out there at the moment, but worth having a look into. They installed some solar panels at the same time. Was a great feeling to get rid of the oil tank!
I had hoped your story would end with the man pointing his headlights to give you even more light and then getting out and helping you. That would seem the obvious thing to do when encountering somebody in your situation at the time…

Really enjoyed cycling a section of the North Sea Cycle Route in the Netherlands and Germany earlier in the year. The cycle paths over there are amazing and it felt so safe.
