I’m not sayin we should go back to the 2000s but I do miss living in a world where something like Invader Zim could make it onto fucking Nickelodeon, yknow?

Content warning for mentions of cutting / self harm and implied cutting kink. Grayscale sketch of transmasc Dib Membrane and Invader Zim. Dib is sitting, wearing only boxers, and Zim is leaned in next to him, wearing an oversized hoodie and toe-less tights that expose his clawed feet. His tail flicks as he asks, "Who left these marks on the Dib?" Dib has self-harm scars on his biceps, covered by body hair. He looks dumbfounded, responding, "Wh-? Are you seriously just noticing after all these years? I left those marks, Zim."

Four-panel page, continuing the one before. Zim sits up against Dib's back, one hand on the human's neck. He winks as a single Pak leg extends. "Silly human," he says, "You could have asked Zim! My marks are far superior." Dib slouches, exhaling with a slightly exasperated expression. "Wow. You have NO idea." He then reaches a finger up and scritches Zim's cheek like a cat, lovingly saying, "Never change, Zim." To which he replies with a cute, confident, "Zim won't." Then, the final panel says, "LATER:" and shows Dib laying awake in bed, blushing hard as he imagines Zim looming over him with his Pak legs out, threatening to leave new cuts.

Having some realizations, are we Dib? 😏
