#chelseafc what an appalling line up we are fielding! Having both Badachile and Jorgensen in the starting line up is like starting the far 2-0 down. Depressing 😟

Having been at the game Saturday, despite the positive result, it’s fair to say that the performance underlined for me that 4th is a realistic target but there was nothing in evidence to suggest we have anything like what’s needed to mount a credible title challenge.

With some days to reflect on Saturday night, looking at the coaches game management, I think it’s not an unfair comparison to consider Ranieri’s last CL game in charge for Chelsea. The semi in Monaco where Rob Huth ended up playing as striker and Ranieri completely lost it. Am I being unfair?

I think we have the best midfield in the premier league already, assuming Santos stays with the first team. And on Recruitment: Jao Pedro is clearly and Upgrade as is Estavo albeit on a limited sample size. Selling Nono? Indifferent. Gittens etc? No clue. Overall im pleased with the business done

It’s interesting. The one change I think has led to the up turn in form is Maresca relaxing the requirement for Sanchez to always try to play out from the back. If he can’t see an easy pass he can now hit it long. That has changed confidence at the back and has allowed the team to flow better

What’s the general vibe around next season? The last time I was this excited about the was post the ECLwin in 2021. Obviously things really didn’t work out the way we’d hoped but there were extenuating circumstances. I’m very optimistic and excited. Let’s pray it’s not the hope that kills you!
