Honestly I think it's that old internet required *some* technical knowledge. At least middle school level reasoning to navigate blogs and forums.
Also switch to instant gratification and short form content.

One thing about the old internet I miss is that you could have a lot more irony and satire because the average user seemed more mentally coherent.
As my friend put it.
"John Carter of Mars. Hm, remove the second half. John Carter. Yes, this will get people into seats."
Your cat looks like a medieval drawing of a cat.
A side effect of being ruled by sociopaths is that having any long-term convictions is seen as a joke. I'm so tired boss.
Cried at work a bit (nothing serious, boss is upset due to personal stuff and we talked about how much the world sucks). I'm really sick of living in such a cynical age.
Annual self-portrait
It is! If you have an old laptop somewhere though it's worth trying it out there first.
Think of it as an escape pod in case W11 gets really bad.
Don't want to be this guy, but I seriously recommend looking into installing Linux. Mostly because now it's easier to use and more stable than W11. Preferably some beginner friendly distribution like Mint or Ubuntu.
ngl I have no idea why sportsball is such a big thing in any country. I like playing sports but it turning into this insane thing is a bit beyond me.
I guess it's a modern equivalent of a gladiatorial arena... wait that's MMA.

This gun holds seven bullets.
Not going to lie, I'm really upset about the modern beauty trends. They are invasive and it's like people are afraid of their face having personality. What happened to being a bit funny-looking?!
Someone pointed out also that like 5-6 families dominate Hollywood and there's a lot of nepo babies there. So of course people will look the same if they are all related.
That movie is absolutely fascinating because it was made by an heir to a fortune that used his inheritance money to fund an expensive passion project about his own difficult childhood and personal issues. The project ended up bankrupting him and ending his life. Film got pushed out afterwards.

just posting here that I'm open for commissions! (and not because my phone just decided to stop working almost entirely)
In a few years the game is going to come out and have the most detailed world, graphics, visual and audio detail and make the annual GDP of a small country in a few hours of its release. Yet nobody will be able to name any of the characters or remember any plot points.
I legit think broader society needs a healthy body positivity movement that teaches people to both accept themselves for who they are, while learning on what they can improve (e.g. styling, haircuts, skincare, shoes, etc.)
Because I've been thinking about kids smashing their faces with hammers.
Are you planning on doing a Sword and Sorcery classics category on your neocities the same way you have one for the Hugo awards?
Hi #Portfolioday

Cities composed out of tiny boxes!
Peeking between fish stalls into a busy street market scene. The sunlight highlights two teen boys passing by.
Illustration for Cortex Prime Handbook. Detailed cityscape of a somewhat steampunk themed city, with tall towering buildings and depths filled with pipes.
Fan art of a location from Warframe. A dryad like figure is walking through a street market of mixed sci-fi and tribal village aesthetics - hanging cloths, jars, lanterns, market stalls but also weird alien structures as foundations.
Cozy indoor scene in a house full of books and various clutter, lit by star shaped lamps. A lizard dude is unsuccessfully trying to braid hair of another one, who is reading a book, and there's a sleeping catboy hugging a pillow.

Genuinely wonder if all sci-fi dystopias are self-fulfilling prophesies (aka dipshit billionaires being inspired by futuristic corporate wastelands), people continuing the trajectory we're on or something else.
Like, I know you can't write a story without a grim setting, but man.
Merry Christmas :3
2025 art report. Didn't draw as much, unfortunately, I've been busy with writing and life. Hopefully the next year will be different.
That's what I've been thinking about. Most of the developed world in the past 30 years moved towards being a service economy. now said economy is being automated away.
Sorry, but now what?
Sometimes I think we're in the Cyberpunk 2020 timeline and the internet will collapse and be walled off due to insane AIs, while most communities will be regional or local. LAN tournaments will be a big thing again.
If I were to wax philosophical about this it's kind of crazy how many degrees of separation this has from watching a real human being play a game.
On some level, this can't be healthy for the human psyche.
I noticed that posting anything personal there is a death sentence. Happily married? Hate mob. Broke up with someone? Hate mob. Single and want to find someone? Hate mob. Single and content? Hate mob.
I'm not sure what happened, but I think people there are stur crazy.
That place is fr a Bosch painting. Like it's grotesque but also hard to look away from.
