A continuation of the scenario in the images in the previous post. Cliff, Spark and Willow are all gathered around Mars, who is in a very advanced stage of labour as he sits on a picnic blanket on the ground in a grassy area, thighs spread, his vulva just beginning to part around the very top of his baby's crown. He is mostly naked, still having his shoes on, and his jeans being slung around one ankle where he's hastily removed them, and leaning back on Cliff, who is kneeling behind him and holding Mars' hand while he turns to issue a command to his Aerodactyl. A continuation of the scene in the previous image, the view having drawn in close to Mars, who is now panting heavily as he leans back against Cliff and tries to catch his breath in between pushes, his belly heaving. His baby is now almost at a full crown, revealing its head full of hair. Cliff has turned his attention to Mars fully, holding both of Mars' hands in each of his own, while Willow continues to observe the birth. Their dialogue reads as follows: Cliff: That's it, Mars. Catch your breath. Willow: You're doing so well. You're almost there. Willow: ... Well now! Spark? Spark: Wh, what is it, Professor? What do you need? I'll go and - Willow: No, no. He is reaching between his legs to touch his baby's head while the researcher kneeling at his side signs in BSL ("your"). A second researcher is sitting cross-legged in front of him, watching the birth more closely. The researcher's notes read as follows: As you can see, fortunately, Friendly finally began letting down some milk right as he was on the cusp of giving birth, and I can happily inform you that his newborn is nursing very well. Friendly seems delighted to have had a baby, and we are very pelased that he found the nesting area we provided, on the recommendation of the observers, sufficiently satisfactory that he was content to use it. Additionally, it would appear that Friendly has been taking on board all of the signing my colleagues and I have been doing after all!
