I am notably good at dialogue. I learned this skill thanks to shows like King of the Hill & Metalocalypse. Home Movies & probably Mission Hill also influenced me.
So many scripts make me want to scream due to how bad the dialogue is.

You don't need to be the best writer or the best artist to create a story that resonates with people. All you need is hyper-fixation and a can-do-attitude!
Also I want to point out that as a kid the majority of my self insert characters were 30 years old. I don't know why. 🤣 The only exception I can think of is Ed Edd and Eddy where my character was a child.
As a teen my original characters were all in their 20s.

And I finally wrote the first few pages of a script for a kids show I'll be making with friends that I've been talking about for years. I've had sketches and notes forever but for the first time in my life I got terrified of writing the dialogue/finalizing it and have put it off a long time.
At 18 I wrote out all my story ideas @ the time, & wrote sparsely through college. I got serious about writing again about 2 years ago with actual plans for a book I'll be publishing. Around that time I finally started posting a fanfic for the first time in my life and it has been very fun.
Mostly I daydreamed abt all this, some got written in my diary, the HP rewrite was my first ever Word Document.
Jak II was what made me decide @ 15 I wanted to be an artist. I'm still not much of one, but I went to art school & intend to really pick up a pencil when costume making takes a backseat.
I started writing self inserts into my favorite cartoons starting @ 8 yrs old (SpongeBob, Ed Edd & Eddy). I also started rewriting the first Harry Potter book word for word except with a self insert character/added paragraphs (probably got 3 pages in before never revisiting; fuck JK Rowling). 1/?
