well I need to go to bed real soon so I didn't end up doing any work on runs or videos today, but that's fine, I can do runs (and editing) this weekend

yeah that makes sense, I had just mostly seen "You" instead of "I" in challenge titles and wondered if there was a reason or if it was coincidental
anyone know if there's an algorithmic / CTR difference between "Can I 100% Fire 'N Ice at 3x speed?" and "Can You 100% Fire 'N Ice at 3x speed?" (a.k.a. I vs. You in challenge run video titles), or is this too nitpicky and it doesn't matter?
I'm planning on directly implementing all of the speedrun categories into Lava 'N Snow, like you go into the settings and select a category, then it makes sure you follow the rules of the category and automatically starts and ends the time correctly so no retiming is necessary or cheating possible.
that'll be fun! I feel like it'll be fun to Speedrun a bunch of Fire 'N Ice ROM Hacks, ports, and fangames, like Hotter Fire 'N Freezing Ice is a WIP but world 1 was so fun that I'd definitely try running it.
true!!

My upcoming five Fire 'N Ice videos ๐
(Won't reveal more until finishing these first 3 playthrough / challenge run videos, but I think you can probably intuit what else I'll play through at least)
13 months in a year, 13 weeks in a season, all months of the year having Friday the 13th for 4 years in a row every 28 years, there are a lot of 13s involved in this system. as long as 13 doesn't have an unlucky association for the average person still it would be great
For subtractively edited videos, I could do like 2-4 a week, but for additively edited videos, it would be much longer.
Subtractive is like recording a playthrough and cutting out boring parts, additive is like the version differences video, adding and creating a bunch of separate clips to combine
While also doing a good amount of main channel content editing and recording at the same time, so my runs might not be too frequent, same with my edited videos.
Later today I'll try and get bonus levels WR (this'll be easy, my SoB is like 1 min & 45 seconds faster than it), and hopefully I get the first sub 40 soon. It'd be awesome to skip 41:XX and skip 40:XX to make a huge jump. Then I'd go back to any%, then 150 Levels, then other versions 150 Levels.
the seasons wouldn't be too hard to figure out I feel like, just know it's 13 weeks, or 3 months and a week, for a season. could be harder than the current system to learn (both as your first calendar or unlearning the current one) but christmas being on Undecember 22nd can't be that bad, right?
13 months of 28 days each seems a lot better, then February becomes the longest month on average instead of always the shortest month every time, and people won't have to draw distinctions between 4 weeks and a month, they'd be the same 47/48 times.
I just recorded the sequel to beating Fire 'N Ice at 3x speed where I beat the bonus levels at 3x speed, so if you want to see the VOD of it, here it is: youtu.be/BWQ-LKzj-Nc
Will probably upload this video next, but may record the undo challenge bonus levels and all internet levels before then.
"Babalu" is so far off from the real name that I thought it was a knockoff Baablu plush, not whatever the name for these plushes are (its name is so far off that I forgot the name of the plush the knockoff is based on (although maybe the name is close idk since I forgot))
it would be cool to play this as well as the demo of the Atari backport of Fire 'N Ice (potentially part of the same video), but emulating these consoles they've been backported to seems quite hard, so I may not prioritize them until I've done a lot of other videos and am running out of video ideas.
Oh no I haven't played or seen this before, maybe I can make a video on that soon once I finish the three other videos I've started work on. Looks pretty cool from just checking the website though.
My new "Fire 'N Ice Speedrunner plays a Github FNI Remake" video is out now! youtu.be/lv2pX4Tk3nE

the vod of FNI github remake will take like 3 hours tops to edit and upload, so will do that in the next couple days, and in the next few days I'll record both bonus level challenge runs and do some bonus levels speedruns. This weekend I'll record all FNI custom levels, do runs, and edit vids.
am planning to have recorded undo every 3 seconds challenge run bonus levels, 3x speed challenge run bonus levels, and beating all FNI custom levels, as well as uploading 2-3 of these, by the end of this week.
also just now recorded me playing the remake of Fire 'N Ice on Github made by Eugene Yahknenko (or eugenioenko as Github username) The VOD is uploaded and then I'll edit it down to like 5-10 minutes long for the main channel pretty soon. youtu.be/EPxVgwFabdY
finished recording part 1 of the fire 'n Ice but I undo every 3 seconds challenge run, will record the bonus levels later in the week and then stitch the vods together so they aren't two separate parts.
surprisingly I found 34 custom levels for the beating every Fire 'N Ice custom level on the internet so that'll be a decently long video, a little under 3x more levels than HFNFI although it could be shorter if HFNFI is a lot harder than these various levels
3x speed FNI 2 would be titled "Can I 100% Fire 'N Ice at 3x speed?" since doing the bonus levels + already having done main game adds up to 100% of the game. Only exception to 100% in challenge runs is maybe if most bonus levels are impossible while main game is possible, but this wouldn't happen??
all future challenge runs past FNI at 3x speed will do all 150 Levels so I don't need to make sequels to any challenge runs I make, I can just do a challenge in one video and be done with it. So they'd be titled "Can I 100% Fire 'N Ice...", not "Can I beat Fire 'N Ice...".
these are subject to change, and in no particular order, but the 4 next videos I'll do are:
Can I 100% Fire 'N Ice while undoing every 3 seconds?
I beat every Fire 'N Ice custom level on the internet*
Playing a FNI Remake
FNI Bonus Levels at 3x speed
*not part of a hack, probs not really ALL
plus for me to have time to fit in speedruns to take back the bonus levels WR (and improve my PBs) while keeping a decent upload schedule, the videos can't be too big in scope.
I think I'll probably prioritize uploading a few quicker to make / shorter edited playthrough / challenge run videos before the 6-10 WR Progression (as that'll be a big undertaking), so I currently have 2 more challenge runs and 2 more playthroughs planned before starting the 6-10 WR Progression.
well it's too late to record now, wish there were like 30 hours in a day or something so I'd have enough time
