Now named Cricket, and having been with us here at Handsome Dan’s Rescue for a week, this emaciated dog is finally out of the woods. Literally and figurativelty.
It will be a long recovery, but Cricket is a fighter, as are we. She will make it. She will live!
Dan’s story, started in a clearing chained to a car axel deep in some Virginia woods. It ended with the Vicktory Dogs changing the landscape for survivors of dogfighting, allowing them to be evaluated as individuals. It was their success that has allowed happy endings for survivors of dogfighting.
