Oooops, I did it again!
Oooops, I did it again!
Back on this app while waiting for a delayed flight at the airport. It's the most wonderful time of the year, isn't it?
Thank you! Just back on Bluesky today after a while away from social media and what a pleasure to see your post. Thank you for taking the time to read the book and write a review π
I was gutted when we missed out on tickets, but live streaming is the next best thing! Anybody else watching? #BlackSabbath #BackToTheBeginning
Thanks for taking the time to read it! βΊοΈβ€οΈ
My students have done it again! Egyptology papers, camaraderie and plenty of doughnuts. What's not to like!?
The façade of the NVIC in Zamalek
Just back from a wonderful week at the NVIC in Cairo. Was it hot? Yes! Was it intense? Yes! Did we drink litres of homemade lemonade? Also yes!
I am trapped on a coach for two hours. Someone is watching the football without earphones. Someone is on TikTok without earphones. Someone is video calling their son without earphones. Someone has just started singing. Is this normal? Should I join in and blast Nile on my phone?
Back from a workshop on intersectionality organised by Romane Betbeze from @humboldtuni.bsky.social It is always a pleasure to see like-minded colleagues who keep trying to push through and help people up the hatch. Thanks @urosmatic.bsky.social for the most amazing keynote!
Congratulations on your article! Fun fact: I clicked through the link above and I misread the caption that says "postcoronal depression" as "postcolonial depression" π

Massive thanks to colleagues from the @griffithinstitute.bsky.social for an archive tour filled with wonderful things! My students loved every minute of it.
I took my lovely students on a trip to Oxford today and they went straight for the Middle Kingdom stelae at the Ashmolean. I wonder who they get this from π
Where do we vote for you?
Wonderful news, congratulations!
Speaks for itself β€οΈ
What a privilege to have Dan-el Padilla Peralta with us in Birmingham giving not one but TWO lectures! It was an opportunity to reflect on the need for a more inclusive and critical approach to the ancient world
Aaah, I'm glad you had the chance to go. It's such a stunning place!
It was a treat to see some old friends such as @flborrego.bsky.social after so long, and de-virtualising the one and only @urosmatic.bsky.social was the cherry on top! Thanks for adding to my watchlist, Uros! π
Heading back home with a full heart after a couple of wonderful days in Seville. It was humbling to share the floor with the other speakers, I learned so much from every single one of them!
Don't fight in vain. Surrender to the cuteness π»
Seminar starting in 3, 2, 1!
