Honestly, same, but I keep doing it anyway

Literal clown shoes
These dumb bastards spent a full decade whining about "diversity of viewpoints" only to turn around and start talking like the Borg as soon as they felt safe. "Unable to assimilate?" Eat shit.
Kinda begs the question: if citizenship paperwork is suddenly not enough to make you a citizen, then what is?
"For every story, if it carries conviction, always has its audience enthralled."
As readers can attest.

These people have never met a fence they didn't want to ride, I swear to God
Imagine letting that guy dress you.

good for you Darkrai
Well gee, 88% is a suspiciously specific number...
there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for
CAVES OF QUD has quickly become one of my favorite games for lots of reasons
The Democratic establishment keeps mumbling and shifting in their seats each time someone says "abolish ICE," and I think it's because they're just pathologically afraid of making enemies.
Which of course leads to the kind of mealy-mouthed doormat politics that's brought us to this point.
Broadly speaking, when you strip down all the trappings, wealth is the ability to tell other people what to do and have them actually do it.
When like a dozen guys acquire enough wealth that they can tell *everybody in the country* what to do, that's when intervention is necessary.
What boss do I have to beat for this
Not like it's a particularly difficult distinction to draw, either. Doesn't take a psychologist to grasp that "would you be happier as a girl" and "do you like boys" are two very different questions.
God, the wishcasting with these people is exhausting. I don't know how you put up with it.
Nature abhors a vacuum.
This feels like a helpful primer for understanding AI in general. It makes programmers more efficient on the front end because they can generate more code. But it makes them less efficient afterwards because it vastly increases the amount of time they spend tweaking and fixing bugs.
It's like he thinks he's auditioning for a role in Jarhead 4
It's all movie lines. I've said this elsewhere: Hegseth has a classic case of cinematic epistemology; his understanding of the world is grounded in the way it works in movies. He thinks exclusively in terms of decisive hand gestures & movie tough talk.
schools are never valid military targets, on or off base
if someone bombed a DoD school in Okinawa and killed a bunch of American 4th graders, that would be a war crime.
The murder of Iranian schoolchildren is a war crime.
For example...
A screenshot from the anime Berserk (1997) in which Guts sits shirtless and battered beneath a tree, overlooking a night sky full of stars. Casca leans against the tree, silently watching him.
shit sucks. persist nonetheless.
Wild to think about how many of our problems stem from small men with big guns.
Every major disaster in this country over my lifetime has been self inflicted by right wing ideologues with just enough complicit or inert Democrats to enable or ratify them. That's why we've been on this doom trajectory for the last ~50 years and it'll keep getting worse if that doesn't change
Israel goes immediately into its military comfort zone of slaughtering children.
How hard is it to say "we condemn this administration's wanton disregard for human rights and we're introducing articles of impeachment immediately?" Just have a fucking spine, Hakeem! These people are not your friends!
If a president decides to conduct missile strikes on an elementary school without asking Congress, and your MAIN ISSUE with that is the "without asking Congress" part...
I mean, fuck me, what are we even doing here?
The automation of war was a mistake. If you want to take a person's life, you ought to at least look them in the eye when you do it.
Wrote like 600 words this afternoon despite still feeling like total dog water. Someone praise me please.
