Bold to think an American should be in charge of anything right now.
Brian and I started as public defenders on the same day back in 2006. I'm so glad that he is on the bench now.
I just, somehow, paid off my final private student loan after 19 years. I still have A LOT of federal loans but going from 5 servicers to 1 feels pretty good.
It's a little weird working for a non-Mass org while still living in Boston and not having today off. We will never again think of Marathon Monday without thinking about the lives lost and forever changed 12 years ago, but it continues to be a day unlike any other here.
I have a degree from Columbia. I have a degree from Harvard. I am so deeply disappointed in Columbia and so proud of Harvard.

Trump on todayβs mass shooting at FSU: "Things like this take place."
Gun violence doesnβt just happen. Itβs the result of cowardly politicians bought by the gun lobbyβlike Donald Trump and Ron DeSantisβrepeatedly failing us while the gun industry profits.
It's the guns and we need better gun laws. I'm proud to be doing gun violence prevention policy work full time but we need more. Speak up.
My mom had surgery today. It went well.

I am at the point in my life when I generally do not give a fuck what people think about me EXCEPT WHATEVER UBER DRIVER GAVE ME 3-STARS AND BROUGHT MY RATING TO 4.96. WHAT DID I DOOOOOOOOOO.
It is... not great to see my college become the center and the target of this absolute nonsense.
Today is my first wedding anniversary.
I AM SO EXCITED TO READ THIS

The ABA supports the rule of law. Read full message: www.americanbar.org/news/abanews...
How do I continue to teach law to students as we watch the rule of law just crumble around us?
Because I was suddenly and unexpectedly laid off in 2023 so soon after my Dad died suddenly and unexpectedly, news of layoffs stirs up a profound grief response in me. (I was not laid off again, just seeing others who were).
I'm very excited to get the pre-this-particular-hellscape Twit crew back together!!
