Experimenting! I had pre-primed a sketchbook page with ochre acrylic paint. Did this drawing of my daughter at the library with charcoal pencil, came home sprayed it with fixative and added the blues and violet with gouache. There’s a lot I would do differently next time, but was fun.

I something a little different for me, a long time ago a friend asked me to draw an album cover for his band, I did a sketch and the band broke up. I decided to bring the sketch to a finish today.

It was raining today so I did my drawing from the car. Not exactly an architectural masterpiece but a scene many of us are familiar with #thisisamerica

I don’t think my drawings will ever end up in museums, perhaps the value in them for me is the process of actually making them. Meditating on ordinary objects and scenes a little bit of time. (Approval of strangers on the internet helps too!)
