Mt Lassen Math Council Conference You are invited to the 2025 Mount Lassen Math Conference (MLMC), Saturday March 1st, on Chico State's campus! This is the North State's local math teaching conference for all TK-12 teachers in our region, sponsored this year by the Chico Math Project, MSCS Statewide Math Community of Practice, and the Butte County Office of Education. This year's keynote speakers are two authors of the new California Math Framework — Chico's own Brian Lindaman and Katy Early! The conference registration fee is $60 for current educators or $30 for pre-service or retired educators. The fee includes full-day access to the conference, breakfast snacks, lunch, and membership to MLMC. To register, fill out this form

Warm up? Give a Geogebra link and tell kids to Investigate and explain the patterns they see and create their own example that demonstrates the concept…then have 2 or 3 kids share out

#buildingthinkingclassrooms style properties of logarithms in #apprecalculus #iteachmath #mtbos I love BTC style lessons because the math conversations are limitless ….take any old worksheet and do it this way and see the difference groups of 3 with a scribe and 2 behind doing the talking

How many ways can you write log32? My #apprecalculus student groups competed against each other to see which group could get the most “unique” expressions … it was game on and the excitement in the room was at an all time high ! #iteachmath
